Hello!

I’m Ben, a research engineer at Ai2. Right now I’m building Paper Finder, an agentic search tool that helps researchers navigate the scientific literature — it’s used by thousands of people every month, which still feels pretty good to say.

Before that I worked on SPIKE, a linguistic search engine built on top of deep NLP annotations. And before Ai2, I spent several years at Ben-Gurion University doing a PhD on Text-to-SQL parsing, teaching programming languages to undergrads, and generally thinking hard about how humans and computers communicate.

My publications are available here, and under Teaching you’ll find supplementary material from courses I’ve lectured and TA’ed.
